Many articles discourage the act of making up research results and advocate for the use of general examples based on our experience. Also, I have seen many resources discouraging the use of the first person point of view when giving examples (such as ‘in my hometown, …’ or ‘I have witnessed …’. On the contrary, I see that you do use the first person perspective. While I know that using it is fine in the thesis statement and when stating our opinion, I am confused about whether it can be used in giving examples, in particular.
