You can use the comma after the greeting and the sign off, or you can leave it out. Both are equally acceptable. You should not use full stops, and you don’t need to write any punctuation marks after your name.

In informal letter, do you know if opening salutation requires a comma at the end? I see it is not added here but on another page on the website that gives sample answers, it has comma.

Similar situation with the closing salutation, does ‘Keep in touch’ have to end with comma or full stop or nothing at all.
