Hi there! As long as the examiner can read what you’ve put on the paper, you’re fine. There are no extra marks for ‘good’ handwriting and you won’t lose marks if it’s a bit messy, as long as they can read it.

Chris, I am really stressed because I am always writing below word count. I do not write background statement and etc. to make my essay concise, by how many points it reduces my essay’s band score, like task response will be 4 or even less?, can you give some advices since my test is on 16 september

Hi there, we usually suggest that students should aim to write around 270-280 words for task 2. It is normal to feel nervous after doing a test but there is nothing you can do about it now. What you should do is just wait until you get your results and we will provide you with the help you need afterward. Hopefully, you won’t need it!
